Over the last few years I've taken things back to basics — back to my roots as a carpenter and joiner. It's the trade I started out in over 20 years ago, and getting back to it has been one of the best decisions I've made.

My career's taken me from heritage joiner, to site manager, to running my own building company — two decades spent working alongside some genuinely impressive architects on high-end, architecturally-designed homes across the North East of Scotland. These days I'm putting all of that experience into work on a smaller scale: everything from landscaping to full barn conversions.

I run things from my family’s farm in Aberdeenshire.
